I just heard the greatest news today. My Monday classes, Political Thought and Astronomy are cancelled! Now while that is great on its own, the best part of this news is the The Halo Reach Beta begins Monday! Total awesomeness if I've ever seen it. Gah I'm so pumped.
KBeezy, I got your letter, I'll get you one back soon. The envelope was awesome by the way.
Still looking for documentary interviews, but thank you very much Mr. Polk for volunteering, I'll pitch you a few ideas soon when I have more criteria on the project itself.

Purple Sky
For once, the title explanation will go at the end.
I watched Capitalism: A Love Story again today, cuz I got it for my birthday. I have to say, nothing wrong with a democratic socialist state. By the people, for the people. Whats the big deal? There isn't one. Let me highlight Democratic .
Next point, I'm in a rhetorical analysis class for my second English at the grand, super, awesome, perfect, and overpriced, Ohio State University, and this class has a documentary film focus. Our final will producing our own documentary, and at first I was scared, but now...I haz teh ideaz. I'm going to make a documentary about P-town's failing school district, and why is it that our levies get shot down, and why exactly the new office was built. Probably everyone who reads this is from Parma (sadface), so if you want to give some input, or maybe be a movie star with a super awesome interview about your experiences in the troubled district, hit me up y'all. (I guess "y'all" is a proper contraction, because my spellcheck doesn't have a problem with it, haha)
Two more sections. I was driving Tia home tonight after we watched Capitalism, and she asked me a good question for a relationship. What is your life goal? I sat there for a second, then it hit me, I said, just to be happy. I was thinking about going into by saying, I want to be a certain sort of happy, that kind where you just wake up and know that today, tomorrow, and next year are all gonna be good. But then she threw my answer out the window by saying, well what about career wise? Just by her reaction I knew she meant how much money by when. Shouldn't you apply my answer to your career? Go to school, get smart, get career, get money, die anyway. Why not die happy? My end goal of my education should be happiness, not wealth. She did also say she wanted to work at the CDC, which I admire. Thats giving back, and an answer I can live with.
Finally, I had an awesome experience today. I was golfing with a buddy when shitstorm-thunder-n-lightning-pocalypse hit today. Not good. We started running for an underpass to hide from the elements and he was way ahead of me. As I'm booking across a little bridge, I hear a deafening strike (srsly, my ears were ringing) and the entire sky lit up purple. Some of the trees I was running through got struck by lightning. Biggest rush of my life, to be completely in awe of the amazing power of the rain and lightning. I was completely drenched, and I felt fantastic. I was giddy with adrenaline.
Well thats all for now, talk to me if you want to say something in my viDoc. I wanna make a splash.

Nothing really new or interesting today, just hungout and went to class. Oh and napped in the oval, beautiful day.
Can't wait for the weekend, only two more classes.

Four
So if I was four inches taller, I'd be six foot one inches tall. And I'd be jacked. I'm talking about this because I actually weighed myself before I worked out today, and I was 205 with a body fat percent of 15.3. Hopefully I hit one more growth spurt. My dad is just over six feet, so why not? Lolzzzz
Well the dust is settling, and I think my relationship is still intact. The general feel is different and I think this weekend will be the test. I dunno.
I just can't wait to have a nice birthday, play golf, and our first softball game on Sunday. W00t w00!

Eleven Stories
I heard about a campus reading room the other day in my historical thought class, so I went today to check it out. Its at the top of the Thompson Library, and the view is spectacular. Definitely going to be spending a lot of my time up here from now on. Its just so peaceful, I almost feel bad for typing, and disturbing the silence. Beautiful.
My weekend was alright to start, but late Saturday night it took a definite downturn. First let me start by saying, I definitely accept the fact that I have much more of a life in Parma than I do in Columbus. I know so many people, and all my closest friends live in Parma, that its hard to stay in Columbus, when I don't know many people or have much to do. Well anyway, Megan had her party, and I got really drunk with a bunch of good friends Saturday night. The night was just about over, when I made an off the cuff comment about all I needed right now was xbox and sex, to my buddy Mitch. My girlfriend flipped shit. We sat and argued about our relationship on Megan's couch for a solid three hours. She talks about our sex life to everyone she works with, why can't I MAKE A JOKE about it with friends. Its all so immature, and it really turns me off of her. A lot.
Tia, I don't know if you read this, but we've talked, and you already know how I feel about this weekend. Take it as you will. I really can't stand it when you project your insecurities onto our relationship.
That brings me to something else, thats kind of a response to KB's post about love and happiness. While I agree that being happy with yourself is a major part of happiness, I'm a firm believer that its the people around you that affect how much you love life, and while you may not NEED other people to survive emotionally, they are a huge part of overall happiness. I'm extremely satisfied with myself right now, I go to school, I don't have many bills, I enjoy my friends, and I have the support of a loving family. But that doesn't mean I'm able to keep myself happy. To me, utter happiness would be all of those things, plus someone I could love. Someone that was happy with herself, and loved me, for the same reasons I loved myself. Its really a big reciprocating circle of love and appreciation. Thats a tough fit.
Gah thats a lot of philosophy. I'll just throwback to one of my favorite movies to sum it up. Into the Wild, Christopher McCandless.
"Happiness is only real when shared"
Its all about other people, we're a social beast. BEAST
P.S. Kb, if I somehow misinterpreted what you said, lemme know yo.

Office Space
I feel like Peter in Office Space, I want to do nothing, forever. I like school, and I realize that I need to go through school to have a "career", but I feel like I'm riding an exercise bike expecting to go somewhere. I need something concrete to make it seem like I've accomplished something. All I have is my personal experience. Its all abstract.
I'm reading Landscape of History by John Lewis Gaddis, and its fantastic. Its a history book about the inner workings of the past and the historian. It really cements my position as a history major. I read this quote over and over and its still fantastic,
"We pride ourselves on not trying to predict the future, as our colleagues in economics, sociology, and political science attempt to do. We resist letting contemporary concerns influence us-the term 'presentism,' among historians is not a compliment. We advance bravely into the future with our eyes fixed firmly on the past: the image we present to the world is, to put it bluntly, that of a rear end."
OHEMGEE, It prides me to be a student of history.

I got a few of those today. I heart Golf. I'm gonna hit a different course every two weeks I've decided. Great times. Back to reality.

Edamame
I updated my link list to the right, and anyone who reads this, please read those too. You learn a lot about a person by reading what they write. And of course, we always appreciate the hits. =)
I watched part of Food, Inc. the other day, and although it may be super trendy of me, I'm gonna stop eating meat for a few weeks. Its sick what this country's food industry has become. Don't get me wrong, I love me some steak and chicken, but I'm gonna see how this goes, I feel like even if its only a week or so, I'll end up healthier. Plus I have some Dry Roasted Edamame, so I'll be good.
Another note on other blogs, Tim: I really like reading your posts because they are flat out and a lot of things you say about school, I feel the same way. And I can really appreciate someone who appreciates musicians. While I'm not particularly musically inclined, I can recognize the amount of effort and talent some music takes, and I like how you point that out. Keep it up brah, and maybe Adam will start blogging again. NOT
Kristina, I really just like hearing about your day. And to tell you the truth, its really helped me to just write down what I'm thinking and how I'm feeling. Its super constructive and I think definitely aids in mental health. Keeps ya sane if you let it out. By the way, I'm buying a road bike this weekend, so if we do ride the canal, I'll be able to keep up. =)
April is always such a busy month, but at the end is the most important day of all, my birthday. Lololol. I'm gonna be in between Parma and Columbus this month with all my family birthdays and events, so get at me. I'd love to catch up with anyone.
Bye for now, I'm going to enjoy this warm night.

Waning
I'm blogging from my porch outside on this beautiful Cleveland evening, and I love it. Just the right amount of breeze.
I drive a lot between Columbus and Parma, and I mean a lot. I feel like I throw 1000 miles on my jeep every month just doing that. I dunno, I just think its I love both places so much. I really have friends all over this damn state, and its hard to be in so many places at once. I wish my bike was completely collapsing and fit into my backpack so I could ride it whenever. It would also have to be very light. This moon is fantastic.
I've been listening to a lot of Death Cab for Cutie and Jack's Mannequinn lately, and I've noticed that my favorite material from both bands comes from their EPs in between albums. Seriously, the Open Door EP from Death Cab is effin awesome, like repeat and repeat and repeat awesome. At its really this one song Dear Jack that I keep listening to off the Dear Jack EP. So good, I don't know why they leave such great songs off their major albums, but who knows, I just know I love em.
If I ever go down in history, they will probably note that women are my weakness. I am such a sucker for a pretty girl I guess.
Well. I'm going on a walk, talk to you in Columbus!
