Christmas
Is kewl. I love family gatherings.
I think I'm gonna run some kind of distance thing this summer. Find something worth running for and try to do it. Tim Leo should do this with me.

THOR
This entire movie and soundtrack will be sponsored by Four Year Strong in support of beards everywhere. Finally, a superhero that harnasses the power of beardcore to fight villains and be a god and stuff.
THOR (sorry, embedding disabled)
Yeah, that's that. I'm basically loving break, most especially, this:
So yeah, awesome.

I need to get better at being productive. I waste a lot of time not doing school work.

Intellectual Badass
So I had this idea of an Intellectual Badass earlier in the year when I was first transferring to Baldwin-Wallace College, and I think I'm well on my way to achieving that goal. I just finished a 260 page Russian History text in a day and a half, while studying Arabic and rehearsing my French presentation. I believe that in itself is badassery. Along with going through the Association Process of Phi Kappa Tau and keeping my grades up, another sign of intellectual baddassery.
Speaking of French, I feel like I've learned more this semester than I ever did in high school. I can honestly comprehend French easily, and now it's onto becoming fluent in spoken French. I'm trying, but I finally feel that French has cemented itself in my brain. Mlle J would be proud.
Not much else to report on.
Au revoir tout le monde!

Weekly
This blog as of late is sort of becoming a weekly thing, and I don't really mind it.
I aced my Arabic test today, scoresies.
Not much to report on, I'm a full member of Phi Kappa Tau, and the semester is almost over.
Oh and there is a lady in my life, and she is kewl.

Aww hell to the yeah broheem
It's been a good couple of days. School is winding down for now, and the best news is: I'll be moving on campus next semester. Good times.
Oh and I'll be playing New Vegas for half the time I'm conscious during break.

Rally to be Awesome.
The Rally was fantastic. Truly a moving experience. The greatest part about it all was the sheer amount of people that were there. Almost 200,000 people all in one place, sharing one common goal: Political Sanity. Beautiful
So the Dems lost the house. I'm so disenchanted with party politics. We're in need of a revolution of thought. A major change in the way the populus thinks. We need Aliens to invade or something.
My Fraternity won The Lip Sync Dance Competition today, we kicked asssssss. I'll post the video when I can.
Here's a great LeBron video I saw tonight. Hilarity.
That's about it for now. I'm sorry my writing has been lacking, just too much going on right now. Winter Break is so close I can almost taste the eggnog.
Boom, Headshot.

To live, to write, to smile, 200.
Well this is my two hundredth post. It's quite funny that the most consistent thing in my life for the past two years has been this blog. I've always wrote in it here and there and I've gotten people to start blogging themselves. It's cathartic to be able to empty your mind of all thoughts onto a webpage. It works.
When I started the blog, I lived in Mansfield, since then, I've lived in three different places, and have gone to school at three different campuses. My friends were always quite consistent, but I've definitely grown my network substantially.
Growth, I've done so much of it during this blog, it's astounding. I've found myself as a person. I'm set in my ideals and I can take a personal inventory and be genuinely happy with the results. At 20 years old, I finally feel like I'm taking the last steps into adulthood. I've found my passion, and I plan on pursuing a career in History and in Politics. It's my appreciation of the past and my love of people that will continue to drive me through the rest of my life.
Love, I think I've only known it once in my life. And I still know it. I don't dwell on it. I'm happy right now.
Speaking of dwelling, this year has been a fantastic year for my personal philosophy. I no longer just allow the world to take place around me. I act. I do. I take control. It's not worth it to just sit in your head and worry about everything so much. It'll drive you insane and toss you into depression. This comic speaks volumes to what I'm getting at.Dreams
Always move forward. Find that single thing or person that makes you happy and cherish them. Appreciate the goddamn beautiful things in life, it's not hard. Stop to smell the roses, because as long as you can be satisfied with the person you are, nothing else matters. You need not stress so hard over how much money your job is gonna pay, or what people are going to think of you. That's an easy way to miss out on the good stuff.
If I do attract any new readers, please read some of the archived stuff. Some of it's good, and it's just a way to know me.
Bye till tomorrow. No shave November is on the horizon.

FOUR BEARD STRONG; BEARDCORE TO THE MAX
Saturday was quite possibly the highlight of my life. No hyperbole. In all honesty, I have yet to feel more alive just screaming the lyrics to some of my favorite songs with my good friends...well I wouldn't say around me, but in the building none the less. It was life affirming.
I'm officially an Associate of Phi Kappa Tau, and the ritual tonight was really fucking cool. I was actually a little moved by the whole thing. That and I felt like a Jedi joining an order.
I'm ready to find that one girl

Griffin
Pea...Tear...Griffin, my name is Peter Griffin
So I'm officially an associate of Phi Kappa Tau. It's pretty cool joining an organization as tightly knit as PKT is. I'm excited
One of these days I'm just gonna pop and go on a Scrubs style rant about love and life and it's gonna be epic. I should really carry a recorder on me for the just the moment so I can immortalize it. Oh wait, I do, it's called an iPod Touch 4. Zing
FOUR YEAR STRONG is Saturday, and I already feel something primal brewing inside me. I can't wait.
Other things to look forward to:
Rally for Sanity in DC on the 30th
No Shave November is coming
More Dexter in my life
POW! Right in the kisser.

Sometimes
Ya just gotta find that small bit in life that makes ya happy. I'm really starting to wear down I think. I need a boost.
I was accepted into Phi Kappa Tau, and their ceremony last night was legit. They gave us all cigars and we just kinda smoked and talked for awhile, it was good stuff.
So I've really come to know myself over the past few months and I think I've finally nailed down my weaknesses. In order of most effective to least effective:
1. Women (Srsly, I'm a sucker for a pretty girl)
2. Food (I can't do shit on an empty stomach, like I can't even push through)
3. Puppies (There's just something about that stupid look they all have that just disarms me)
I'm drained, but I'm happy. Tim, running together shall commence again, and I'm excited for Dexter.
KB, I miss your face.

Pride
My dearest blog, I'm sorry for neglecting you, but life has been in overdrive for the past few days. I haven't been a good chronicler and I feel bad.
Love,
Mike
So yeah, last night was fantastic. Free pie and plenty of booze.
I now know what I want, just time to go out there and get it.
Other than that friends, girls, frats, jobs, and capture the flag, my life has been all about Halo:Reach. Bungie really outdid themselves. I've never felt this freedom playing a video game before. I can literally do anything I want to a multiplayer map. It's sex in a video game.
I heard some shit last night about some idiot and I've probably never been so fired up in my life. There was just this carnal rage building up inside me. There's no way you read my blog, but in regards to this prick, You're a terrible person and I hope you take a very long walk off a very short pier. Over a chasm.
Any questions? Toss em my way.

Halo:Reach has rocked my socks. The game rocked my socks, took my socks, and continues to rock my socks whenever it gets bored. Socks.
Plug plug pluggaroo is going quite fine to anyone who is wondering, slow and steady. I hope this works
I love working two jobs, but I hate when they conflict.

I had a really great time in Berea last night. And a great time with friends this weekend. That's for real. My life kinda fucking rocks sometimes.
I'm really looking forward to "The Social Network"
That's about it, I think I'm feeling a change coming soon. I'll keep you posted.

Zombies!
This week has been pretty gosh darn awesome. I rediscovered a favorite band, and they, along with friends made me so happy. I'm in such a different place/mood than I was a week ago, and I love it.
Gotz meh new Tattoo, and I'm glad it's finally on my skin and no longer just an idea. It means so much to me. There's something about Star Wars. It's really not just a movie to some people (myself, my dad, my brother, allen), it's just something to be appreciated. A force, you could say, that has shaped the world, and has certainly shaped my world. It's the thing that has brought many people close to me, and it's a common bond that I will share with many people, forever.
1 thing that is a little annoying. My dog loves the taste of A+D oinment (the stuff I put on my tattoo) so I have to fight her off.
EVERYONE (and their mom) has been telling me to listen to TDWP's new EP about Zombies, and while I'm not that hardcore, I gotta say, I really fucking enjoy this cd. There's something brutal about it (everything about it is brutal) that puts me in a good mood. So yeah I'm in love.
Sooze girl, sorry you've been feeling so shitty lately, believe me, I know where you're at. We can drown a few sorrows together.
Other than that, I don't have much to say other than Il humdulehhleh, which translated from Arabic is thank god I'm here. Oh yeah, and my top three songs right now are : Good Life-Weezer, Enemy of the World-Four Year Strong, and Waking Up-Ten Count Fall (lolzzzz) Listen to those songs, and you'll have a pretty good grip on where I'm at right now.
Baiz0rs errboddie.

Pinkerton
Sometimes you have to feel absolutely shitty to remember the things that make you happy in life.
Friends are an easy one to remember, but I really just thoroughly enjoy coffee dates at lakes and Weezer. There's something about the early Weezer albums, namely the Blue Album and Pinkerton that just make me happy. The songs are depressing for the most part, or just talk about problems, but that's what made Weezer, Weezer. Something that just screams rock and roll that I love about these albums that I heart.
Now to play the waiting game.

I am sooooo effing tired today. Did another 24 miles on the towpath today, and I've yet to nap lolz. I feel like I could fall asleep right now, but I felt like I needed to blog.
The past 24 hours have been a rollercoaster and I'm so ready to get off this ride. I think I know what I have to do.
That's about it. Kinda dry. Tim, we need to hit the bees before I start class. Maybe tomorrow(Saturday)?

Mike Poggi vs. The World
Scott Pilgrim is now one of my favorite movies of all time. It's just that quirky and lovable and I absolutely adore how they displayed the troubles of a relationship and falling in love. Totally awesomely epic.
Saturday, I rode the towpath with my buddy Andy, and with the roundtrip factored in, we did about 23 miles. I'm super excited about the shape I'm in, and I'm really glad that the only real crap I eat is when I get Hooburritos at 1 o clock. Oh and bees but that doesn't count
I did a little splorin' today in the Metroparks and I think I'm gonna bust out the camera and do a little amateur photography.
It's sleepy time.

Dark
I've been in a pretty bad place the past few days, and I'm just starting to pull through this.
There are definitely few friends that deserve my thanks, and I never wanna feel this way again. I seriously have just started to get food back into my system even though I still feel like shit. I think that I may have had a little breakdown. My stomach is constantly nauseous, and my heart is racing.
I'm so sorry Tia for freaking out, and I really am happy with you. I only wanna give you the best, and the me in the past few days has not been the best.
I think what everyone needs to do is really take a look at their life and realize what they have going for them. It may sound simple, but by just realizing all the good, the bad starts to fade away. I have a lot to be happy for. A great family, a house, a car, a great girl, and a pretty sweet dog to top it off.
I'm really hoping I feel better because the last time I felt this way my appendix went, and I'm sorta running out of useless organs to pop.
Oh and finally, I played the lotto tonight, so if I win tomorrow this blog may not see any love for awhile.
Peaceout.

Rippin and Tearin
What? Two consecutive posts?!!?! Are you mad man?
Yup I'm gonna do it, because I feel like this post is so unrelated to the previous that it deserves it's own little bookmark.
I had a shit ton of fun at Mr. Divot's yesterday, it was a nice break from reality. Whenever I'm doing some sort of physical activity, it's like I check out from the rest of the world.
I'm really in a good place with my friends. I feel like the people I talk to genuinely know me and my intentions, and it's the greatest feeling in the world.
Tim Leo, you have some excellent ideas about "it" and I think that by diversifying the stunts, the hilarity will be increased tenfold. That sounded like a business proposal and I like it.
That's it for now, bye allllllllll.

Selfless
I believe that I'm pretty much a selfless guy. I think it's why I'm so good with customer service, and why I'd be considered a "nice guy."
But when it comes to relationships, this can be a very bad thing for me. I feel like I'm getting trounced on, and I hate it. I do so goddamn much, and I just want to feel it reciprocated in some way shape or form.
Damn I feel like a 50's housewife or something

Shades
So I've come to a few realizations with help of some friends in the past fews days, some tragic and some hopeful.
The first is a big one, I think that unless you are super talented at something, like music or a sport, you have two options:
1. Work ridiculously hard and devote your entire life to working and becoming successful, all the while being almost miserable doing so.
-OR-
2. Float through life living day to day, hoping that the pieces will eventually fall together with a little perseverance and some luck, but also being happy with life, if you can block out the oh so real possibility of failure.
The second option is basically hoping to win the lotto in the long run.
The second realization is: On the grander scale of things, speaking as in the universe, everyday life such as work, is utterly meaningless. We move day to day not thinking about how utterly insignificant our existence is.
Alas in this truth there is some hope, that since we are so small on the scale of the universe, we should find the things that make us the happiest and cherish them. Just find the things that fill us with joy. Find your "Banana Ice Cream." Affect the lives of others, and goddammit just be happy to be alive. Don't get caught up in the stupid day to day grind. We worry so much about making money and being a part of the system that we forget it's the people and the experiences we have in our life that matter. Not how big our house is, and not how many cars we have.
I had an awesome bike ride tonight, went real far. I'm happy right now, and I think I've really found a lot of people I like to be around. Bye for now

Barefoot
Being barefoot isn't a style choice, it's a way of life. It's the way you live your life.
I like it down here, and judging by my experience at BAREFOOT Landing today, I feel like I fit in quite well. I'd just have to get used to the climate.
I'm straight up worried about school and life. I feel like if I just had an internship or something, I'd be more comfortable, but I don't.
This trip is winding down, which is good in one aspect because I am chafed to shit. I miss my girlfriend. (Gay) no I actually do.

UV
I got me some sun tan today. Great stuff
As cheesy as this sounds, I can't wait to have a kid. I see my 2 yr old cousin running around and I just wanna take him. Haha.
When I get home, I'm thinking about planning a Tour de Parma of sorts. I've joked about it with my brother, but I think it would be a pretty intense ride. Take Broadview to Sprague, then to 130th, then to Brookpark, back up Broadview. That would be siiiick. I just wanna know how many miles, and it would be pretty cool to get a group of people to do it. Make the news as a goofy local story or something.
Welp, seeya later.

Day 1/BEACH
Soooo finally made it to Ocean Isle, and this place is always so beautiful! Our house we rented is huge, and everything is just how we planned it.
I love the ocean, and as weird as it sounds, I love how small it makes me feel. It kinda just washes away any problems I have with it's crushing waves. It's really a testament to the whole "life goes on" kinda thing. Each day, the tide comes in and the tide goes out, and no matter how different things are, so things will always be the same.
I'm beat. This sun saps every ounce of energy I have.
Boom outta here.

Dan Marino
This post will be the most epic of all epic posts.
First of all, LeBron James is a traitor to his hometown, that has sullied his values of "loyalty and family." This town, myself included, looked up to him as a hero, a real hometown idol, then on Thursday we all get a swift kick in the balls on national television. So I say, LeBron, I respect you no longer, and I hope you tear your ACL.
I'm hurt.
Last weekend I ended up heading to Peabody's after rushing around CSU trying to find their admissions office for my geef. We made it just in time, then bummed around until about 8 and went into Peabody's to see Traphouse Rave. One of Tia's friends is pretty close with the band so that's why we went. Before THR, there was a rap duo named Smokescreen that was pretty sweet, look em up. Now while I didn't like THR's music, they had awesome stage presence and a great stage show. Seriously, it was fun. The only thing I didn't like was the smell, and the lead singer was wearing a Ke$ha shirt -_-.
The fourth went really well, and Tia did pretty well for meeting my ENTIRE family for the first time. My seven year old cousin has a crush on her. We blew shit up at the end of the night and it was awesome. There truly is nothing like lighting shit on fire with your family
My relationship is smoothing itself out now, and that's good because with our vacations, starting Thursday, I won't see her for at 2 weeks. That is kinda gonna suck...
Parma may have change on the way with Dr. Jeffrey Graham. He's made some pretty bold statements, but what really gets my attention is his statements about Parma in general. He acknowledges that Parma is in some trouble, but he also realizes that we are a proud community. Hopefully he'll be able to work with us to pull us up out of this hole we're in.
I heart my parents, because 20 years ago, they made a promise to give me a better life than what they had, and I believe they've delivered. They made that promise when my mom was 19, and my dad was 20. Epic. I can't wait to finish school, and finally be done with money.
I'm officially a student at BW, and I have a twelve grand scholarship, w0000t w0000. I'm super excited to be closer to home, and to finish up my undergrad shenanigans.
Well I guess that's it for now, quick shout out, Suzy, keep your chin up girl.
Boom, outta here.

Adam, you looked fucking sick up there. Brought a tear to meh eye seeing you playing a show. Kinda surreal. You guys did good, and I'd compliment everyone else too, but I don't think Gio reads this.
Suzy thanks for coming out with me, I miss you.
The night ended up being pretty stressful after the grog shenanigans, but I hope things have finally changed. I'm sick of arguing the same point over and over again; I'm pretty sure it's insanity. (Second semi)
I just finished my bike ride and workout, and there is no better way to relieve stress. None. I feel like I've been struck by lightning, I'm so full of energy. Too bad I have to work in the morning. Wamp wamp wawawawawawaaaa.
I'm on the pursuit of happiness.

Work
Work is nice because I make lotsa money, but if anyone out there wants to donate about 10 billion to my savings account; that's cool too.
P.S. I think that may have been the first post with a semicolon, let's see how it goes.

Toy
Just got back from Toy Story, and I have to say, nice job Pixar. It was actually a really good movie. I'm usually against "unnecessary" sequels, but Toy Story 3 was more than a gimmick. It was really a solid movie, and did my childhood justice.
I can't wait till my brother gets out of this age sixteen induced asshole-ness.
My relationship has been having a few ups and downs lately but as of right now is actually pretty solid. I think we've worked out most of the kinks, and hopefully we can cruise through the summer.
Week 1 of summer is over, and there are still a lot of people I've yet to see, but then again, I've been able to get a bunch of driving shifts, so roll in the cash I guess.
Bleh, blah, bloo. Talk to me.

Ankle
Wednesday I rolled my ankle real real bad. I was playing basketball and landed on it completely wrong and I heard the most sickening pop/crack and I fell over. I just kinda laid there for a bit, and I was thinking, "There goes the summer," because I thought I broke it.
It's still swollen up like a cankle, but I don't think it's broken. It more so my foot that's swollen too. Idunno.
It made me think, If this would have happened when in pre-society, societies, this injury could be fatal. I live so comfy.
Uploading video to YouTube and Vimeo, I'll post it soon.
Work tonight, pumped.
P.S. Mr. Leo, I do plan on resuming running as soon as I can, which will probably be Monday.

Spicy Potatoes
This weekend was awesome. There was a point on Friday, where life was absolutely at its best. I was sitting on a roof in a lawn chair, in the beautiful Columbus sunlight, just smoking a cigar and drinking a beer. Just up there, watching people walk down Lane Ave. with my buddy Cory. Sure the rest of the weekend involved partying before finals, but that one moment was truly awesome.
I'm finally finished with finals, and I can't wait to get back to Parma and work. I'm fixing my bike tomorrow in the afternoon, then probably going for a running with Adam Ohio x and TimLeo? I hope so.
I wrote over 60 pages this quarter, and I'm done with school for right now; I need to relax.
So, parents and girlfriend are coming down in an hour or so to get most of my stuff, then leaving. Tia is staying with me till I leave tomorrow after I present my documentary.
SPEAKING OF, I have the film finished, it's just that it's in the goofy mac format, .m4v, so I'm gonna convert it into an mpeg or something and upload here first, then the FACE. I might just host it on facebook through here, ya know, gotta get them hits.
Well that's it for now, IT'S SUMMER BABY.
P.S. Spicy Potatoes are little slices of satan that you can get on your burrito at Burrito's Noches in OSU. Believe me, spicy is an understatement.

Tim Lebro
This weekend was pretty great. A lot was put into perspective. I may just be where I belong, although there is always a little bit of doubt. I didn't get everything I needed, and I'm not sure if I will. Woo.
I went tubing, is was really effing sweet. I'm so sore from skipping across the water after falling, but it was worth it.
It's not yet summer, and I'm already sick of the phrase "We have all summer." I think that's the exact opposite way you should live. I want to live everyday like it was the last day of summer. I'm going for 100 percent.
That's it for now. I just really can't wait for finals to end.
Bye.

May the force be with you, always.
Thirty-three years ago, the world changed. George Lucas released Star Wars. I was born into a Star Wars family, my dad absolutely loved the series. The story, the characters, the fantasy. I grew up watching and reciting each line of the original trilogy. It has changed my life, and soon, I will have Star Wars tattoo in honor of my dad and brother and best friend. We all share a passion for the movies, and I love them all. Love you Dad, love you Nick, love you Allen, love you Star Wars.
Oh, and to those mutha buzza's that stole that shit off my bike, I've already sent out drones to destroy you. It's just a matter of time.
Sophomore Slump, over.

Physical Activity
Working out is definitely my most cathartic activity. Hit the weights, then cardio. Just listening to the iPod. Everything fades.
"Eye of the Tiger" came on in my shuffle after my workout session, so it seemed like I was heading to fight Mr. T... I wasn't.
The best part though is the walk home. It's usually cool outside, and I just listen to slow music. "Plans" by Death Cab is the album of choice. I just get to slowly come down from an adrenaline fueled high, and I never feel more peaceful.
Physical Activity, even Teddy Roosevelt loved it!

Cold and Rainy. Mostly Rainy.
Gahhhhh so much Rain! And a broken bicycle makes the commute to class extra long. I guess it's not that bad with the iPod and all, but whatevs.
First workshop day, but I didn't accomplish much. I don't have much footage to work with, but I guess the workshop is a step in the right direction.
Turned in the book review today, I'm confident I kicked its ass sideways.
Slow crawl to summer.

Believeland
I feel the need to talk a little about the Cavs being knocked out of the playoffs. It obviously got so much attention, and while I was really upset they lost, I will not bad mouth the team or its players. Especially LeBron James. Everyone has been giving him so much shit, and it seems typical of Cleveland fans to turn on their team, and it's something we need to change. He had a triple double that final game. That's impressive in and of itself. Let's be honest, James is Cleveland. And while people speculate on him leaving, I don't think he will. This is his hometown, and I'll think he'll go into the offseason thinking about next year's season, with the Cavs.
This weekend was pretty sweet, and I did a lot. I hung out with a bunch of different people and had a lot of fun. My softball team got crushed again, but they were a really good team. Srsly, they all were 24 year old, half man half giant, rec league softball machines. Good news about that is halfway through the season, they'll put us in a division with teams at our level. We'll be the king of the scrubs =)
I shot a bunch of B-roll footage of Parma and the schools in the district, and I also snipped a bunch of articles pertaining to my topic off the sun post. This project is really starting to come together, and I should have my first round of interviews this coming week, and I've been working on my voiceover track. I wish iMovie was windows compatible, but whatevs. This documentary is really starting to mean a lot to me, and I'm gonna work hard to make it worth the while. Tres excite'
Adam d00d, can't wait to have a kickass summer with old friends. More Applebee's time fo sho. That includes you, TimLeo, Polk, Gio, and any other friends in the Parma area. Srsly, let' make this summer kickass.
KAYBE, I hope you respond to meh lettorz soon, it's basically the best part of day when I get one =)
Well that's all for now, time for a little Universe studying in Astronomy 141.

Ghost
I just put a bunch of work into my book review of Ghost Wars, and for the first time in a while, I feel good about myself academically. I truly feel like I can actually excel in my field. I feel like the work I'm doing now will actually translate into a career as a historian. Weird. A career historian, writing my own books and shit. I guess I just needed to put the work in and actually accomplish and competent critique of someone else's work. History man, history.
Learned how to work with iMovie today, even though I don't own a Mac, it will definitely be helpful in my documentary. The program is really simple, and I plan on setting up some interviews real soon (Next week maybe Polk?).
Everything is coming together, and hopefully I'll have my associates degree in June.

Night Clouds
Have you ever been outside at night really late and you look up at still see clouds? It's probably the coolest thing ever. Its so late, but its not dark. Its like the entire area is glowing in this awesome twilight. Big, puffy, white clouds across beautiful night sky.
My softball team is 1-1. Got our ass kicked today. It was rough, but I guess I still had fun.
This weekend was great. Nothing too showy, but it was alright. Had a few close friends drink and play some darts. Geef. Then Mother's Day.
Ohhhhhhh, yeah. Didn't get my tattoo (ultimate sadface, srsly). The party was cancelled because about 5 people dipped out of getting the tattoos. So the artist wouldn't come. I'm just gonna head up to Addicted then.

O Positive
I gave blood today, and let me tell you, I am so damn good at it. I fill that bag in like 3 minutes and I feel great the rest of the day, so maybe I should utilize this and donate more.
Well I turned 20 this past week, and it feels strange. Just to think that I've been on this planet for 2 decades and I don't have much to say for it. I want to make this world a better place to live in than when I got here. There is a whole world out there that is practically begging me to explore it.
I can't wait till this time next year, I'll be heading west.
I'm pretty sure I'm transferring now, and I need to set up an evaluation meeting at BW so I can get ALL my credits allocated correctly. Super sweet fun fact: I'll have my associates from OSU in June, and in 2 years, I'll have my B.A. from BW. Siiiick, two schools.
Well not much else to say other than I haven't shaved in a solid two weeks and I have a Paul Gasol beard-like thing going on now. Chicks dig it.

Noble Six
I just heard the greatest news today. My Monday classes, Political Thought and Astronomy are cancelled! Now while that is great on its own, the best part of this news is the The Halo Reach Beta begins Monday! Total awesomeness if I've ever seen it. Gah I'm so pumped.
KBeezy, I got your letter, I'll get you one back soon. The envelope was awesome by the way.
Still looking for documentary interviews, but thank you very much Mr. Polk for volunteering, I'll pitch you a few ideas soon when I have more criteria on the project itself.

Purple Sky
For once, the title explanation will go at the end.
I watched Capitalism: A Love Story again today, cuz I got it for my birthday. I have to say, nothing wrong with a democratic socialist state. By the people, for the people. Whats the big deal? There isn't one. Let me highlight Democratic .
Next point, I'm in a rhetorical analysis class for my second English at the grand, super, awesome, perfect, and overpriced, Ohio State University, and this class has a documentary film focus. Our final will producing our own documentary, and at first I was scared, but now...I haz teh ideaz. I'm going to make a documentary about P-town's failing school district, and why is it that our levies get shot down, and why exactly the new office was built. Probably everyone who reads this is from Parma (sadface), so if you want to give some input, or maybe be a movie star with a super awesome interview about your experiences in the troubled district, hit me up y'all. (I guess "y'all" is a proper contraction, because my spellcheck doesn't have a problem with it, haha)
Two more sections. I was driving Tia home tonight after we watched Capitalism, and she asked me a good question for a relationship. What is your life goal? I sat there for a second, then it hit me, I said, just to be happy. I was thinking about going into by saying, I want to be a certain sort of happy, that kind where you just wake up and know that today, tomorrow, and next year are all gonna be good. But then she threw my answer out the window by saying, well what about career wise? Just by her reaction I knew she meant how much money by when. Shouldn't you apply my answer to your career? Go to school, get smart, get career, get money, die anyway. Why not die happy? My end goal of my education should be happiness, not wealth. She did also say she wanted to work at the CDC, which I admire. Thats giving back, and an answer I can live with.
Finally, I had an awesome experience today. I was golfing with a buddy when shitstorm-thunder-n-lightning-pocalypse hit today. Not good. We started running for an underpass to hide from the elements and he was way ahead of me. As I'm booking across a little bridge, I hear a deafening strike (srsly, my ears were ringing) and the entire sky lit up purple. Some of the trees I was running through got struck by lightning. Biggest rush of my life, to be completely in awe of the amazing power of the rain and lightning. I was completely drenched, and I felt fantastic. I was giddy with adrenaline.
Well thats all for now, talk to me if you want to say something in my viDoc. I wanna make a splash.

New Air
Finally filled my bike tires to optimal air levels. Awesomeeeee. I was zipping around C-bus today, I can't wait till summer, gonna tear up the metroparks.
Nothing really new or interesting today, just hungout and went to class. Oh and napped in the oval, beautiful day.
Can't wait for the weekend, only two more classes.
Boom, outta here.

Four
So if I was four inches taller, I'd be six foot one inches tall. And I'd be jacked. I'm talking about this because I actually weighed myself before I worked out today, and I was 205 with a body fat percent of 15.3. Hopefully I hit one more growth spurt. My dad is just over six feet, so why not? Lolzzzz
Well the dust is settling, and I think my relationship is still intact. The general feel is different and I think this weekend will be the test. I dunno.
I just can't wait to have a nice birthday, play golf, and our first softball game on Sunday. W00t w00!

Eleven Stories
I heard about a campus reading room the other day in my historical thought class, so I went today to check it out. Its at the top of the Thompson Library, and the view is spectacular. Definitely going to be spending a lot of my time up here from now on. Its just so peaceful, I almost feel bad for typing, and disturbing the silence. Beautiful.
My weekend was alright to start, but late Saturday night it took a definite downturn. First let me start by saying, I definitely accept the fact that I have much more of a life in Parma than I do in Columbus. I know so many people, and all my closest friends live in Parma, that its hard to stay in Columbus, when I don't know many people or have much to do. Well anyway, Megan had her party, and I got really drunk with a bunch of good friends Saturday night. The night was just about over, when I made an off the cuff comment about all I needed right now was xbox and sex, to my buddy Mitch. My girlfriend flipped shit. We sat and argued about our relationship on Megan's couch for a solid three hours. She talks about our sex life to everyone she works with, why can't I MAKE A JOKE about it with friends. Its all so immature, and it really turns me off of her. A lot.
Tia, I don't know if you read this, but we've talked, and you already know how I feel about this weekend. Take it as you will. I really can't stand it when you project your insecurities onto our relationship.
That brings me to something else, thats kind of a response to KB's post about love and happiness. While I agree that being happy with yourself is a major part of happiness, I'm a firm believer that its the people around you that affect how much you love life, and while you may not NEED other people to survive emotionally, they are a huge part of overall happiness. I'm extremely satisfied with myself right now, I go to school, I don't have many bills, I enjoy my friends, and I have the support of a loving family. But that doesn't mean I'm able to keep myself happy. To me, utter happiness would be all of those things, plus someone I could love. Someone that was happy with herself, and loved me, for the same reasons I loved myself. Its really a big reciprocating circle of love and appreciation. Thats a tough fit.
Gah thats a lot of philosophy. I'll just throwback to one of my favorite movies to sum it up. Into the Wild, Christopher McCandless.
"Happiness is only real when shared"
Its all about other people, we're a social beast. BEAST
P.S. Kb, if I somehow misinterpreted what you said, lemme know yo.

Office Space
I feel like Peter in Office Space, I want to do nothing, forever. I like school, and I realize that I need to go through school to have a "career", but I feel like I'm riding an exercise bike expecting to go somewhere. I need something concrete to make it seem like I've accomplished something. All I have is my personal experience. Its all abstract.
I'm reading Landscape of History by John Lewis Gaddis, and its fantastic. Its a history book about the inner workings of the past and the historian. It really cements my position as a history major. I read this quote over and over and its still fantastic,
"We pride ourselves on not trying to predict the future, as our colleagues in economics, sociology, and political science attempt to do. We resist letting contemporary concerns influence us-the term 'presentism,' among historians is not a compliment. We advance bravely into the future with our eyes fixed firmly on the past: the image we present to the world is, to put it bluntly, that of a rear end."
OHEMGEE, It prides me to be a student of history.

Edamame
I updated my link list to the right, and anyone who reads this, please read those too. You learn a lot about a person by reading what they write. And of course, we always appreciate the hits. =)
I watched part of Food, Inc. the other day, and although it may be super trendy of me, I'm gonna stop eating meat for a few weeks. Its sick what this country's food industry has become. Don't get me wrong, I love me some steak and chicken, but I'm gonna see how this goes, I feel like even if its only a week or so, I'll end up healthier. Plus I have some Dry Roasted Edamame, so I'll be good.
Another note on other blogs, Tim: I really like reading your posts because they are flat out and a lot of things you say about school, I feel the same way. And I can really appreciate someone who appreciates musicians. While I'm not particularly musically inclined, I can recognize the amount of effort and talent some music takes, and I like how you point that out. Keep it up brah, and maybe Adam will start blogging again. NOT
Kristina, I really just like hearing about your day. And to tell you the truth, its really helped me to just write down what I'm thinking and how I'm feeling. Its super constructive and I think definitely aids in mental health. Keeps ya sane if you let it out. By the way, I'm buying a road bike this weekend, so if we do ride the canal, I'll be able to keep up. =)
April is always such a busy month, but at the end is the most important day of all, my birthday. Lololol. I'm gonna be in between Parma and Columbus this month with all my family birthdays and events, so get at me. I'd love to catch up with anyone.
Bye for now, I'm going to enjoy this warm night.

Waning
I'm blogging from my porch outside on this beautiful Cleveland evening, and I love it. Just the right amount of breeze.
I drive a lot between Columbus and Parma, and I mean a lot. I feel like I throw 1000 miles on my jeep every month just doing that. I dunno, I just think its I love both places so much. I really have friends all over this damn state, and its hard to be in so many places at once. I wish my bike was completely collapsing and fit into my backpack so I could ride it whenever. It would also have to be very light. This moon is fantastic.
I've been listening to a lot of Death Cab for Cutie and Jack's Mannequinn lately, and I've noticed that my favorite material from both bands comes from their EPs in between albums. Seriously, the Open Door EP from Death Cab is effin awesome, like repeat and repeat and repeat awesome. At its really this one song Dear Jack that I keep listening to off the Dear Jack EP. So good, I don't know why they leave such great songs off their major albums, but who knows, I just know I love em.
If I ever go down in history, they will probably note that women are my weakness. I am such a sucker for a pretty girl I guess.
Well. I'm going on a walk, talk to you in Columbus!

FFXIII
Well today was the first day of spring quarter, and it was awesome. The Union is sick. Political Science is gonna be easy, and my Life in the Universe class is gonna be so sweet. I want to know about the possibilities of life in our vast, vast universe. That is my greatest what-if, and as the years go by the question of other life is becoming less and less an if we will discover, to a when will discover. So exciting.
My break was nice, I basically stopped lifting all break and didn't budge in the weight department, and judging from this morning's workout, I really didn't lose much. It was a nice vacation, now back to activity. I think its time I did more cardio, I hope my bike is ready.
This past weekend was almost a relationship ender for me, but I think we pulled through. I'm not sure if you read this Tia, but its on my page, so I figure you do. It was rough, and in the end I'm not sure how I feel about anything, this is one that time will figure out.
KB it was really effing rad getting to hang with you.
Tim Leo, I love your blog, its always something good to read, and pretty soon I'm going to list which blogs I follow on my page to kinda start spreading the word. That includes KBmania.
Alright thats it for now, I have to go kick it old school with Cory, peaceoutz.

Sierra 117 (Health Care)
This is my 117th post, and its fitting that my Master Chief post is about the real life Master Chief, Barack Obama. Its also fitting that I blog about this legendary moment in American History, because I started this blog about politics. I'm so relieved to finally have progressive action being carried out in Washington. But it also saddens me that health care has taken this long; Its something the rest of the civilized world has had for years now. Nothing makes me more angry then when the stubborn ass GOP bitch about the high price and that the health care bill being unconstitutional. What about the unconstitutional, extremely high priced, unnecessary, IRAQ WAR. Oh thats fine because the charge was lead by a conservative, cough cough, I mean idiot. Even if this bill spends a billion a year, thats less than four dollars a person a year. Suck it up and realize that as humans we are all in this shit together. This is where it starts, once people start caring for the general well-being of their brethren, this is where the world changes. Where the default response is empathy, not apathy. Where not so sick people don't have to go the emergency room to treat non emergency diseases, just because they don't have insurance. They can go to regular doctors now, clearing the way for actual emergencies. Insurance companies will have to lower their prices, because they actually have competition now. Its simple, and the GOP will probably never understand. Which is why unless they change, they will probably never control congress again. Its time to grow up and drop the ignorance because its a brave new world. Thats all for now. Sidenote, my idealist fervor has just been revived.

It must really suck to be Mike Poggi right now.
Lololololol, not really. Life is pretty good, its going slow. A few things could be nicer. I'm finally on break, and I have 13 days to recoop. Monday I drove back to Columbus at 8, then I took my anthro final, and I was really starting to spiral after that. I was so down, and just ridiculously tired. I felt like walking to the library to study was gonna kill me. I didn't want to do anything, ever again. Ok, now imagine I was drowning in a pool, a pool made of all my self-doubt. It sucked, but then, a phone call. It was Ed Stockhausen with the Ohio State Senate, to offer me an interview to become a paid page. It was like a stronger, more confident me, pulled me out of the pool and said, "Listen up pussy, man up, be confident, and keep working hard." It was great, I had never felt better, just having an interview gives me direction, something substantial to do. So now I'm home, and I'll have my interview in a few weeks. Well thats it for tonight, gotta get up early and be the taxi again. Night
P.S. New Four Year Strong is siiiiiiick.

Key
Hello there, it is 62 and sunny in beautiful Columbus Ohio, and let me tell you people, get outside on this wonderful day!
Its amazing how a little change in the weather translates to a big change in life. Spring is just starting to poke its head through, and already I feel like a different person. The city is alive in the sunlight. Speaking of the sun, its like my own personal source of energy and inspiration. The sunlight actually woke me up this morning, it was like a movie. I stretched, showered, and rode my bike to class at 7:30, and I have never felt better. Honestly, the only reason I'm at my computer right now is to type this and say how great it is to be alive on this day. God I feel good. I'm gonna ride my bike, get some lunch, and read at a bench. Being free of obligation in winter=Sadface. Being free of obligation in the spring=joyous. Alright, I'm gonna stop because I'm gushing.
Well, I've decided that my film class is the best class I've taken ever. Of all time. I feel right at home there. We watched American Beauty today, and its great that the message translates from a decade ago. Love life in all its beauty.
Boom, outta here.

Friday
I really don't have anything to do tonight, I'm gonna go swim a few laps, and then just chill in. I'm all alone in my dorm, and I'm indifferent. The Cavs are on. I just found out today that my expected tuition next year for OSU is $25,000. Yeah thats pretty much the final straw for this school. BW is $32,000, but I'll get scholarships. So much for a state school being cheaper. I was supposed to drink at Cory's tonight, but he never called me, and in all honesty, I don't really care. I'm in a malaise. KB, thanks for liking my letter it means a lot. I really hope you dig your haiku. I have nothing to do till Maureen comes to visit tomorrow, so I'm gonna use my night wisely. I owe it to Allen to write, if he's having writer's block, maybe if I keep writing it'll inspire him. Oh, and it looks like Obama is finally growing some balls, and is gonna push Healthcare through. Finally. My grandparents may say they don't like this, but when they start getting their prescriptions paid for, they'll change their minds. My grandpa always told me its hard being self employed, and finally the burden will be lessened. Well thats all I have right now. Bye all.

Matrix
I feel that being a film critic is now my ultimate dream job. I have so much fun talking about movies in my intro class. Today was two hours analyzing the philosophy elements of all movies, and we got deep into STAR WARS. There is just something attractive about film as an art form. Maybe I'll look into doing it in the future. Hmm.
Mike Poggi's Top Ten Most Played Songs:
So I found this nifty little tab on my iTunes library that organizes songs by play count. Some of these actually surprised me.
1. Handlebars-Flobots. 2154 Plays. I think its just because I can rap the entire song and it makes me feel cool
2. Say it ain't so-Weezer. 2136 Plays. Definitely my favorite Weezer song, so no surprise.
3. Man in the Mirror-Michael Jackson. 2034 Plays. Well it is my favorite MJ song, and I love me some MJ.
4. Radio-Alkaline Trio. 2014 Plays. Definitely the song that turned me onto this band. (Thanks Eric Miller)
5. Dat New New-Kid Cudi. 1967 Plays. I'm pretty sure when I first got this song, I played it 5 times in a row. Cudi is infectious.
6. Man Overboard-Blink 182. 1888 Plays. Definitely feel like I play other Blink way more...
7. Make You Feel Better-Red Hot Chili Peppers. 1820 Plays. Definitely a sleeper song, didn't get much press, but Stadium Arcadium is effing awesome.
8. Mother Superior-Coheed and Cambria. 1812 Plays. Sing it smooth Claudio, and make it look so easy.
9. Gravemakers and Gunslingers-Coheed and Cambria. 1803 Plays. Melt my face Claudio.
10. Dear Jack-Jack's Mannequin. 1786 Plays. I have a huge soft spot for Jack's Mannequin.
Love it. Boom outta here.

Filibuster.
End this stupid shit. I can't believe how stubborn some people are that they would sacrifice jobs for partisan beliefs. Senator JIM BUNNING of Kentucky needs to stop his filibuster. Stop being the "party of NO", GOP. This isn't democracy anymore, and right now, its your fault Republicans. I hate saying party names, because on the grander scale of politics, parties don't mean jack to me, its just the GOP seems to be pissing me the hell off. These fucking people will not let ANY legislation pass, because of the grudges they hold. Wake up call, you lost the elections for a reason, and let the majority party do whats its supposed to. You lost. The thinking majority is so sick of the bullshit, and quite frankly, its petty. The filibuster was created out of desperation to get bills removed or edited, its a terrible thing in and of itself. You shouldn't need 60 votes to do everything, and its a damn shame that every bill, and every action has become a partisan hurdle. Ask for compromise, get compromise. Don't block a bill because out of spite. Its the lowest of depths to sink to. The older I get, the more I cement myself into these beliefs. I can't wait for my generation to take the reigns.

Leo Leo
Well I wasn't going to participate in the super show idea created by Mr. Tim Leo, but I thought about it on the way to the bus today, and I decided to throw a few down.
Opener: Andrew Jackson Jihad. Folk punk is something I was turned on to by my friend Kristina. She gave me some Defiance, Ohio and I did some exploration from there, and I think Jihad is my favorite. They seem to be a little more politically subtle then Defiance, Ohio (check out "New World Order" by Defiance and you'll see what I mean) which I like. Its mostly acoustic with some drum beats, and a kazoo a one point, its all good, and their lyrics deep and often laced with metaphors and double meanings. I like.
Act 2: I really want to see a Foo Fighters Skin and Bones concert, which may never happen because the band is currently on an indefinate hiatus. The show is much smaller than their normal shows, and tend to be a lot more intimate. Kinda what the unplugged album was to Nirvana, coincidence? Probably not. This includes a lot of storytelling in between sets, and the band actually talking with the audience. Almost one hundred percent acoustic, some of their "deep" songs end with full orchestra, and it just sounds so damn good. Skin and Bones Everlong.
Act 3: Tim, I have to steal one of yours, Four Year Strong. I just started listening to them this summer when Pobega played "Bada Bing wit' a pipe" and I can not get over them. I could listen to Rise or Die Trying over and over. This band just pours out energy, and I'm pretty sure I air drum every song. Even while driving. I had a chance to see them last July, but I didn't go because Shane was coming up from Florida the same night. I hope they come back soon.
Act 4: Coheed and Cambria. I've been hooked on this band since I first heard A Favor House Atlantic, but it wasn't until recently that I really got into the story behind their music. It dabbles in the pure insanity of the humans, and what power love has to change anything, for the good or bad, all the while maintaining a "Star Wars Epic" feel. Definitely at the forefront of progressive rock.
Finale: And if anyone who knows couldn't guess this: Weezer. I've yet to see them live, I almost did with Blink, but with the tour being rescheduled, it was a no go. Their music has a personality to me, and I'm in love with it. From the eerily depressing Say it ain't so, to something upbeat like Dopenose. There is a little something for everyone.
Some runner-ups: Radiohead, Kings of Leon(the older stuff the sorority girls don't like), ADTR, Iron Maiden (saw them at Blossom once, let me tell you, these guys rock a lot harder then most people their age), Eminem (I've listened to him for so long, I wonder what a show with him would be like), John Williams (Composer behind the music of Star Wars, and I missed him at the Q because I was in school, LAME)
Well thats about that. New posts soon.

Chains.
My bike chain is starting to rust. Ultimate sadface because I love my bike, and I've never been able to properly fix a chain alone. I'm gonna have to reapply some grease. Its crazy how much water erodes. So slow and gradual but eventually noticeable. I don't like riding in the rain, but at the same time, the rain is starting to wash away the snow. Is spring really almost here? Then summer. Ah summer.

Wallet
On my way back to Cory's today (which last night is an entire post in itself, I'm just lazy right now) we found a wallet with an ID and credit card. So I looked the girl up on facebook, found her, and now she gets her wallet back! Woot woo. More good deeds.

Apples
To apples. Lolzzzzzz. But really, as I sit and nom on this apple, I realize that things are looking great. This quarter is almost over, and I'm pretty sure a 4.0 is in the works. Tubular. I talked about the death penalty at the Dems meeting last night, and I realized a lot about my self just doing it. The penalty should be all but abolished, save strictly for the most heinous of crimes. Example: Serial killers. If someone murders multiple people in cold blood, it isn't hypocrisy to kill them, its justice. As for terrorists, I believe that people like Khalid Shiekh Mohammed, the man who supposedly orchestrated the 9/11 attacks on the WTC, deserve to rot in a maximum security, pound you in the ass prison. He wants to become a Martyr, it would only glorify him to say that he was killed by the Americans. So lock him up, feed him, show him that we are human, and so superior to him that we pity his foolish actions. I think for an extremist, that would be the ultimate punishment. Death would be a release. And eventually, he'd probably get shanked in the lunch line anyway...

Rapture.
EVENTFUL WEEKEND. A lot. So I came home on Wednesday because The Warthog (My jeep playfully nicknamed after a Halo vehicle) almost took a big old dump on me. Battery died. Finally got it jumped. Packed up my stuff because I was afraid my alternator was going, get out to my car, its stuck in my parking spot. Completely iced. I tried pushing it myself, and just when I was about to lose it, two guys with shovels get out of their car and help me. Thank you so much Ricardo and Chuck from a latino christian group. Thats the way the world should be, I was so upset that my damn car was stuck, but they came and helped me with a random act of kindness. It was great, and I'm going to try and pay it forward. I got to lounge around Parma on Thursday and Friday, then Saturday was Kristina's birthday dinner. I heart Olive Garden, but more importantly I met a lot of cool people. (And it was good to see you too Ms. Baric, we should do it more often =)) Then I went to Denny's with Moreween. Ritual. Gah that night. Sunday was Valentine's Day, went to Olive Garden again, nomnomnom. Tia bought me Bioshock 2, and we had a nice night.
Ok Tim, Supergroup time:
Drums: Atom Willard, he was in the Offspring for a while, but I really got most of my listening in from Angels and Airwaves. And I know Adam is gonna be a bitch and yell at me about Angels and Airwaves, how they suck or whatever, and how Tom DeLonge is a tool or whatever, but honestly he's a talented drummer, and their songs are just so fun to listen to.
Drums(Second Choice): Dave Grohl, I'm a big Dave Grohl junkie, songwriting mostly, but even though I'm really not a fan of Nirvana, his most recent project Them Crooked Vultures, has him back on the drums. Its good stuff. And Dave will probably show up on this list again.
Vocals: Dave Grohl (Unless he was on drums) He has the ability to force out lyrics that are teeming with emotion. He can sing soft (Friend of a Friend, Big Me). Forceful (Monkey Wrench, Best of You, Hell, Free Me) and the best part of having him in a band: He really can play anything, and is a great songwriter. Plus "Everlong" is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Guitar: Claudio Sanchez. I like his vocals, but I don't wanna seem so indecisive, plus Claudio would personally melt my face if I didn't include him. His solos are intricate, and I air guitar almost everyone of Coheed's songs. Plus he's a great songwriter, and also have a wide range in vocals. Plus, I met him! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30662313&op=5&o=global&view=global&subj=1015746001&id=1015746001
Bass: Ehhhh, Adam Drown? Fine John Campbell from Lamb of God. I think he would add a heavier feel to this band.
Another Guitar: Eric Clapton. I think that its obvious he is one of the greatest guitar players of all time. I can listen to his greatest hits over and over, and the best part is how smooth he is. His play style is so clean and I can get wrapped up in the southern rock solos.
Backup Vocals: Rivers Cuomo from Weezer, I just want him somewhere in my supergroup. Also Ted from the Worthless Peons.
I think if all these people would assemble in one room, the earth would crack down the middle and open up rock heaven and everyone would live there forever. Or not.
Sidenote: I feel like I know way too much about primates to be a history major right now. Anthropolgy <3.
Thats it for now, I feel that these upcoming months are going to be vital to the rest of my life. Imminent. I dunno
Later budz.

Significance.
I feel that the meaning of existence as it should be today is no longer just about procreation and survival. It should be about enjoying yourself, and along the way making the lives of others better. Be it through friendship, love, or altruism. But even as the idealist that I am, this is fucking trippy.
Understanding the Universe - Learning Adventures
Read it, its cool in a weird way. Human life is so young, and yet people believe that we are the pinnacle. Isn't that so Anthrocentric, but then again, I guess if we are the ones making the measuring stick, I guess we'd be at the top of it.
Just be happy. Even if its about the little things.

Feet fail me not.
This weekend was really great. It put what my life is in perspective. I'm getting more and more involved with the college dems, and I think the connections made will definitely pay off. I met the Lt. Gov. of Ohio, Lee Fisher, on Wednesday and he is a phenomenal person. He has such ambition for Ohio and using wind power to convert lost manufacturing power into renewable energy jobs. Its all fantastic. Soon I'll be in talks with my old roommate and current friendo Zach about painting for his private contract company in the summer. We'll be doing houses, and I'll have to learn a trade. I'm nervous about it. Its kind of a big commitment, which puts even more into perspective. I think I'm afraid of commitment. Seriously. I feel that prior relationships have unconsciously affected my ability to commit. People, jobs, education, and I feel that now that I know what has been wrong with me, I feel much better. I just needed to get my old "leap before you look" attitude. Take a dive once in a while, and just roll. So I'm doing that. Its great. Oh and for the select few (2) people that have been waiting for a letter, they're written and I'm hopefully gonna send them tomorrow. Should be fun.
Welp, seeya.

Tour
I'm awake, so why not write? I play too much xbox. Haha.
I'm watched some portions of the President's Q & A with the house Republicans, and let me tell you, good stuff. He doesn't dance around anything. He straight up tells them the facts about the country, to the point that Fox News won't air the entire thing. Fair and Balanced? Self righteous, hypocratic, pricks. Seriously, check it out, even if its on the Daily Show.
I feel like there is potential in my life that I'm not grasping. I'm happy, but I could definitely be happier. I'm doing good in school, but I definitely could be doing better. I would really like to start seriously writing, but I'm not sure if I have it in me.
Everything is alright, don't you worry, the sun is shining, don't you worry.
I can't wait to bring my bike down here.
Peace

Goodbye Lenin!
My film class always give me so much to talk about, and I think its because its full of all sorts of people who can speak on profound topics whenever they feel. The topics are profound because each film has its significance and the autere has a certain motive or message. This week's foray was Goodbye Lenin!, a 2003 film about a son living in East Germany trying to keep his weak hearted, recently awakened from an 8 month coma, mother in a world that is exactly the same before she had a heart attack and went into a coma. That means no consumerism, no West Berlin, and no reality. Its a touching piece, but its also over produced and clean cut like western cinema. Good stuff. Great actually. So of course, we get on the topic of human rights, and people all have their own ways of thinking. During the discussion the instructor, who couldn't be older than 25, makes an off the cuff joke about Europa Europa having to use penis jokes to get people to watch a movie about the holocaust. Now I thought it was a little wild, but I understood the humor, and I also understood the point of people denying the past and not wanting to see a bleak depressing holocaust movie, so the autere uses comedy to relate. And if the P.C. police didn't bust down the fucking door, with every snoody, self-righteous, prick, attacking our instructor with every tired bit about sensitivity. The part that is terrible is 1. From the way they were talking, their argument had no substance, and it lead on that they had no idea why they were arguing the point of sensitivity, or why the instructor even said the joke, but rather were programmed to do so by societal taboos. Taboos that don't allow an alternative viewpoint on the joke. The Holocaust was terrible, the worst atrocity the world has seen in the past 200 years. But still people don't want to hear about it, so they mask it, hide themselves from it. The autere of the film used comedy to relate a topic to the audience, without scaring them away with all the truth. The joke was harmless, and quite funny at the point. And point 2. Shortly before the joke, people in the class were having a talk about how a recent white supremacy rally had "no effect on their lives, and they didn't really care about it." Seriously? Whats worse? The movement that kills millions, or the movement that understands the former, and wants to push it a step further. People don't understand that we are all in this fucking world together. People just gush ignorance sometimes. Get along and help each other. Even if its just little things as small as a smile, do it. Be a human, we're all on the same team.
Well after that, nothing much to talk about. Going to Parma this weekend. Nothing much else. Oh, I have a letter to look forward to... ;)

Yogurt
People are rarely with the people they belong with. Compatibility seems to mean nothing. Instead of two puzzle pieces fitting into each other, they are more like two pieces of play-doh being jammed into each other. I mean, the play-doh can't not fit, but it ends up being just a bigger blog of nothing. Play-doh is not something to form a foundation of a serious relationship on. I mean it works, but it seems like potential is being wasted. Relationships should be between two like souls that care for each other deeply. Two pieces of the same puzzle. I'm gonna work on that.

Clarity.
As I was walking home about 15 minutes ago from film class, with my delicious lunch in hand, a thought popped in my head. Why would I transfer schools? What are the real reasons? The only one I could feel comfortable saying was that I miss my brother. And I come home often enough, so its really not a problem. Then from there I had a sort of mental chain reaction where everything became so clear. Why not use my love of history to teach my way through law school? Finally something that I can aim for, and finally relieving the stress of not really knowing what I'm doing. I was never sure what I wanted to do, other than get into politics. And I think this might be the way to do it. Meet people teaching, meet them in law school, get active in the community, then bam, politics. Who knows. So I think I'm gonna stay at OSU, as long as I can keep justifying it in my head. And figure out if it really feels right in my heart. Is staying here, and deciding, and by deciding, relieving the stress, just the easy way out? Or if I persevere through the transfer process, will the reward be greater spiritually, and possibly financially? I dunno, but what I do know is that now that I've laid it all out, I'm back in control. And damn it feels good.
Sidenote: I feel that about 80 percent of the students in my film class will never open their mind and really search for what the film is trying to do. They think that they are making intelligent comments on lighting, when the Dogme 95 films specifically use natural lighting. If they'd read, they would know these sorts of things. They'd also have a better chance of understanding the plot, and getting invested in the rich characters. Pedestrians
Welllllll, thats all for today, gotta eat and then go PAWMP. Seeyaaaaaa

So pick up the pace and catch the stride, cuz without it you'll never survive chasing me down as I fly away, away from it all, high on inspiration and adrenaline.
Hmm. Yeah.

Karka Marka Darka
I don't see why everyone is bitching about Haiti getting so much media attention. They deserve it! 200,000 people are dead, I can't even imagine how many families are torn apart. Shouldn't it be the moral responsibility of a fucking human being to better the lives of others? I'm so sick of the selfish, backwards, and shallow culture that has manifested itself. I would want as much help as possible if my family were in any sort of trouble, let alone a 7 earthquake hitting a country with almost no infrastructure, and is the size of Los Angeles County! What the fuck people! I just donated, and I wish I could do so much more, but in all honesty, I'm afraid to break out of the caste I've been put in. The college road, the path I started on the day I graduated middle school. I'm not sure if I'll ever find the courage to break free. I need more creativity in my life, and I'm also missing one more thing. It came to me in an almost revelatory moment tonight, I'm missing love. I am void of any real deep feeling at the moment, and have been for a few months. I think it might be the cause of my distress the past few months. What is my motivation? I need someone to think about. The last person I truly cared for has been out of my thoughts for a long time now, and maybe someone like her is what I need. I dunno. Peace.

Reason
This city has some of the coldest nights, I swear. My hands were so cold they were warm. Nothing really to say, I guess routine is starting to kick in. All I have is that literally before I sat down to post, I look at a dollar bill that I got as change today, and instead of "In God We Trust", someone crossed out God and wrote Reason. Hmm. I like that. I like it a lot. I think this country was founded on reason, not god. Maybe God was to sell the idea, to seize the moral high ground, but maybe everything boils down to logic. Reason. I mean, man has the ability to reason correct? Is that what sets us apart from every other species on this rock? Its what gives us the right to seize the top of the food chain and slowly destroy everything around us? Obviously. No. Life is good, but it could be better. Another day.

Bicycle Thief
My film class finally kicked into gear, and we watched a classic, "Bicycle Thief". It was made in 1948 and it was one of the first pieces of Italian Cinema after the war. Its a simple plot, but its a wonderful film, if you keep your mind open and let yourself go into the film. Most people in the class did not. They panned it for the less than great acting and "overly simple plot." I'm sure. The story is much deeper than that, its about struggling to keep your family alive and out of poverty during a rough time, all the while trying to face a theft and keep your morals. People in the class were way too quick to judge this movie, and they made themselves look like an idiot to all the people who could appreciate. The movie also had the historical significance (lol History Major), of being one of the first movies after the war to make film an art form again, not just military propaganda. The Bicycle Thief is as tasteful as it is complex. I'm going to love this class.

Resolve
Sooooooo I first want to come out and just say sorry for the lack of posting, its just so much has been happening that I felt like I couldn't just skip over it all and move on. So I kept pushing it back, but I finally have plenty of free time to write everything down.
I've been dating Tia since before Christmas, and its going alright. She isn't my girlfriend, and I know about half will understand what I mean. I don't think having a serious relationship and trying to start school at a massive campus 140 miles away was a good idea. At first she didn't like it, but I think we've both warmed up to the idea. I went home last week, so we really haven't been through a true test of distance, so who knows what is going to happen. I don't.
This winter break I spent a ridiculous amount of time with my family, and even though I fall in love with Columbus more and more everytime I'm out and about(believe me, I've already walked miles and miles around this place), I think of home and miss my brother, and then my parents, and then our old house, and I'm really not sure how I feel about being this homesick. Transferring home is still a very viable possibility. Ugh.
Main Campus is ridiculously awesome. I cannot wait to take my bike around campus and take hundreds of pictures. First thaw, I'm definitely on top of that. For a person like me that gets stirred up about scenery and architecture its the perfect place. You see places that you just want to be, want to be a part of, people you want to meet, and I just get plain excited everyday. Take for instance, The RPAC, the main gym on campus. 5 floors of physical activity. Literally basketball courts on top of basketball courts, next to raquetball courts, in between rows of cardio equipment. Seriously, they could probably power the place on the amount of kinetic energy in the treadmills. It just gives me a joyous feeling inside that all that this gigantic campus has to offer is mine for the taking. Maybe I should?
I know my last post was a little out of character, but I just kept thinking of the future, and I let everything build up. All it took was one thing to click in my head, and then I had everything under control. I will never let myself feel that scattered again, and for the future, who knows in the long run, but for right now everything is almost as good as it can get. Almost.
If you still read this, I think you may know what I mean.
Well thats it for now, lucky me having easy classes this quarter, and a bomb meal plan, so I get to play video games instead of looking for food or studying. The next posts should be back to normal. Boom, outta here.

Not good
I am so scattered and all over the place. I feel like I was shattered and strewn across a giant open field. I'm being stretched so thin, and I have no idea where to begin to put myself together. Everything is coming down on me right now, and I just want to sleep. This is going to be a rough first week, but here on out, I look upwards.
